Coaching is designed to help motivated people make the life changes they
choose – professionally, personally, and/or relationally. Coaches are advisors,
encouragers, confidants, mentors, and accountability partners.
1. Because relational cohesiveness is vital to the coach-participant relationship,
coaching covenants are negotiated following the second session, after cohesive-
ness is established.
2. The participant will be expected to be faithful to the coaching sessions (normally 90
minute sessions; weekly, fortnightly, or monthly; at the coach’s office, at the
participant’s work-site, or at some neutral location).
3. The participant agrees to fulfill mutually agreed-upon assignments (reflection, read-
ing, journaling, brainstorming, interviews, conversations, etc.)
4. The coach agrees to be available for crisis assistance (phone, skype, or in
person).
5. The participant agrees to pay on a timely basis the mutually agreed-upon fee.
